These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of services provided by Starline Shipping Services (“the Company”) by all customers (“you,” “your,” “consignee,” or “shipper”). By using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.
Shipper: The person or entity sending goods through the Company.
Consignee: The person or entity receiving the goods.
Package/Shipment: Any item(s) accepted by the Company for shipping.
Prohibited Items: Goods that are restricted or illegal under applicable laws or the Company’s policy.
We provide air and sea freight forwarding, courier, customs clearance, warehousing, and delivery services.
Service availability may vary depending on location, customs regulations, and operational capacity.
We reserve the right to refuse service to any person or shipment at our sole discretion.
Provide accurate and complete shipment details, including value, description, and consignee information.
Ensure goods are securely packaged to withstand handling during transit.
Comply with all applicable laws, customs requirements, and import/export regulations.
Notify the Company promptly of any address or contact changes.
You may not ship items prohibited under Jamaican law, international law, or Company policy, including but not limited to:
Illegal drugs, firearms, ammunition, explosives
Hazardous materials, flammable substances
Perishable goods (without prior arrangement)
Cash, precious metals, or jewelry (unless declared and insured)
Counterfeit goods or intellectual property-infringing items
Other items as listed by Jamaica Customs Agency or our carriers
We reserve the right to inspect and refuse shipments at any time.
All shipments are subject to customs inspection and clearance in Jamaica or the country of origin.
Customs duties, taxes, brokerage fees, and other related charges are the responsibility of the consignee unless otherwise stated.
The Company is not liable for delays, confiscation, or penalties resulting from customs processes.
Shipping charges are based on actual weight, dimensional weight, or volume (whichever is greater).
Additional fees may apply for customs clearance, storage, handling, or delivery.
Payments of JMD $5,000 or more MUST be made via bank transfer and MUST be reflected in our account before packages are delivered.

Packages will NOT be delivered unless payment is made and confirmed.
All charges must be paid in full before goods are released to the consignee.
Prices are subject to change without prior notice.
Unpaid packages beyond ninety (90) days of being marked “Ready for Pickup” are subject to forfeiture (see Section 8 for details).
Basic liability coverage is limited to JMD $10,000 (approximately USD $65) per shipment, regardless of the package’s actual value.
Starline Shipping Services does not provide additional insurance. Customers who wish to insure their packages for full value must arrange insurance directly with their supplier or an external provider.
The Company is not responsible for loss, damage, or delay caused by:
Acts of God (natural disasters, weather, etc.)
Customs delays or government actions
Improper packaging or declaration by the shipper
Inherent defects of the shipped goods
There is NO RETURN POLICY. In cases where an incorrect package or damaged item is shipped by a supplier, customers must follow the supplier’s return guidelines.
There will be NO REFUND on packages that are damaged or lost before reaching our facility in Jamaica.
There will be NO REFUND on packages that are damaged or lost due to improper packing by the supplier.
Delivery timelines are estimates and not guaranteed, as delays may occur due to customs, weather, or operational issues.
Customers must collect shipments within five (5) days of “Ready For Pickup” notification, or storage fees will apply.
Each customer picking up a package MUST present a valid government-issued ID as proof of identification.
Third-party pickups MUST be communicated in advance. The authorized individual must also provide a valid ID before the package is released.
Packages will NOT be handed over to third-party individuals unless prior authorization is given by the customer.
Home delivery is subject to service availability in designated areas and may incur additional fees.
If a package is not collected and full payment is not made within ninety (90) days of being marked as “Ready for Pickup,” the Company reserves the right to sell the items to recover outstanding shipping and storage costs. Customers forfeit any claim to proceeds from such sales.
Customers are responsible for keeping their account details and passwords confidential.
Account details should NOT be shared with third parties.
Customers are fully responsible for all activities that occur under their account.
Customers must report any suspicious or unauthorized account activity immediately.
Any claims for loss, damage, or shortages must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of receiving the shipment.
Supporting documents (invoice, proof of value, photos, etc.) must be provided with claims.
The Company’s liability will not exceed JMD $10,000 (USD $65) per shipment.
Disputes will be resolved under the laws of Jamaica.
The Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate service if:
The customer violates these Terms
False, misleading, or fraudulent information is provided
Prohibited items are shipped
Customer information will be collected, stored, and processed in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
Personal information may be shared with customs authorities, carriers, or third-party partners as required to complete shipping services.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Customers will be notified via our official communication channels. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed under the laws of Jamaica.
